Who is Brittany?

Brittany Rush, LCSW, is a social worker, entrepreneur, and mental health advocate whose work lives at the intersection of healing, community, and purpose. At her core, she’s a connector—leading with empathy, advocating fiercely, and believing deeply in the power of bringing people together to heal, grow, and rise. Outside of her professional world, Brittany is fueled by iced dirty chais, is an absolute dog lover, and can often be found on the volleyball court spiking her stress away.

Brittany’s Experience

Brittany is the founder of her own outpatient private practice, where she provides accessible, culturally-affirming therapy designed to help individuals navigate life’s complexities with clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. She’s widely recognized for curating and hosting large-scale community events, including the Black Therapy Expo and Black Wellness Expo—powerful gatherings that have been featured across local news platforms. These events are not just conferences but movements—breaking stigmas, increasing access to care, and normalizing conversations around mental health in Black communities and beyond.

Role at Side by Side

Brittany is thrilled to join the clinical team at Side by Side, where she can show up fully aligned with her purpose—holding space, amplifying voices, and affirming the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ youth. She views her role as contributing to the organization’s broader mission by fostering brave, affirming spaces that support healing, growth, and radical belonging.
