Who is Jason?
A graduate of Tidewater Community College and the University of Virginia, my professional background spans the arenas of public health, communications and public relations, and HIV prevention and health education. I’m also the founder of a Charlottesville-based organization that brings LGBTQ+ people together through multiple social events each month. I was also, many years so, a guest facilitator at the Charlottesville chapter of ROSMY, so coming back around all these years later in this role feels pretty special!
Role at Side by Side
As the Director of Development and Community Engagement at Side by Side, Jason leads individual fundraising efforts and fosters meaningful connections with the community. He also facilitates education and training sessions focused on LGBTQ+ inclusion and advocacy, helping to create a more equitable and supportive environment for LGBTQ+ youth and allies.
